Maile’s First Girls’ Day

by Papa K on March 4, 2010

On Wednesday we celebrated Maile’s very first Girls’ Day. Girl’s Day, or Hina Matsuri in Japan, is held every March 3rd. Hina Matsuri is the Japanese Doll Festival. In Japan, a set of ornamental dolls is put on display (check out Cousin Katie’s post from her very first Girls’ Day for more details).

Here in San Francisco, we used it as an opportunity to see how mommy’s first kimono was fitting. You may recall that Maile first wore the kimono on her 100th Day Birthday. Good news is it still fits and Maile was as cute as ever!

You're about to take 100 pictures of me, aren't you...

Can I wear this all day? Puh-lease?!
