Pretty sure this isn’t what the Slow Food movement has in mind – but we’ll borrow the name and call it Slow Food, Maile-style.
We’ve been teaching Maile how to feed herself and also experimenting with non-mushed food items. Maile has taken right to it – albeit a bit slowly. She picks up the pieces of the food, turns it over and over, inspects it and then sllooooowly moves her arm towards her mouth. And 6 times out of 10 the food actually makes it to its destination.
I realize this video isn’t terribly exciting – but you gotta admit, we’ve come a long way in 4.5 months…
